Pick the right channel for the right moment

• Email: rich content, discovery, newsletters and long-form nurture.
• SMS: urgent transactional (OTP, delivery), reminders, short campaigns.
• WhatsApp: conversational support, rich media flows, abandoned cart.

Never send the same message on every channel — pick the one your customer is most likely to act on.

Respect the frequency budget

Every recipient has a mental budget for how much they'll tolerate from you. WhatsApp is the most intimate — treat it like text-from-a-friend, not marketing spam. Cap WhatsApp at 4 messages/month, SMS at 6, and email at 20.

Waterfall on failure
